What does expression through art mean to me?
People say and write many things about art, a lot of it nonsense. Most critics will view, read or experience a piece of art and build a categorised meaning for it. This is then used to pigeon-hole, explain, criticise or praise that piece. This grafted explanation can render a piece distorted, and sometime restrict the on-lookers view and personal interpretation.

Many-a-time have I read expert reviews that have explained/interpreted a piece’s meaning that completely contradicted mine or missed the point. Art means many things to many people; one picture can mean a thousand things to a thousand people, this is an important part of artistic expression.

What does expression through art mean to me? It means touching people's hearts directly. Although a good heated debate is never a bad thing…..
